Bio: Minna Tuulikki Pöntinen
I was born 30.7.1984 in Helsinki, Finland. Our family moved to Mikkeli in 1987.
From there I moved to Kuopio in 2000 as I wanted to go to an IB highschool.
I graduated from the IB program of Kuopion Lyseon Lukio in 2003.
In 2003 I wanted to try something different, and decided on private entrepreunership.
I founded Morgana Designs, the label which I use to sell everything I make: art and various hand-made
goods, such as jewellery, clothes and small home decor. In also took the authorized
translator exam and became an authorized translator (from English to Finnish).
I spent the 2004 spring term as a physics student in the Kuopio university.
However, physics didn't interest me enough, and I applied to med school. I got in and spent
the next four years agonizing over whether my career choice was the right one.
In 2008 I graduated as a bachelor of medicine. Shortly afterwards I made up my mind: medicine
wasn't the right career choice for me as it made me quite unhappy, and I was unfit for general
university life with its rigid schedules. I decided to quit med school - at least for now - and start working with Morgana D.
full-time.
